Halloween and Clint Turns Three

Clint was a lucky little boy and was able to go on Brody's pre-school field trip to the Pumpkin patch.
My mom and dad volunteered to chaperon the four year olds and Clint.  By the look of Dad's face he might not have enjoyed it :).
Mom said it was so cute.  The boys were told to pick their favorite pumpkin and then raise their hand for the lady to come around and give them their own pumpkin.
Halloween was very busy, but very fun for the boys.
Ryan was not allowed to wear a mask to school, so when he dressed into his scream costume he said, "Well, I guess I am just wearing a robe to school!"
It was fun, Abbie (Kitty) and Dominick (Wolf man) showed up at Grandma and Grandpa's at the same time Clint (Elmo) and Ryan (Scream) did.
The night was crazy driving to see my Grandma in Bountiful, Jason and Logan's mom and grandma in Syracuse (while Ryan and Clint Trick or Treated), Grandma and Grandpa Flinders in Clinton, and Mom and Dad in good Ole Morgan.
Mr. Clint Turns Three.   My friend Kristin asked, "where did Clint's cheeks go?"  I love it.  He is a handsome, happy boy.  I am so happy he is still Momma's boy and I don't plan on that changing any time soon!  I love my little Clinty Bug!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I love birthdays...all birthdays, mine, yours, every one's birthday!
For at least a week before I would wake Clint and tell him Happy Almost birthday.  By the time his birthday came he told me, "stop it Momma, stop saying Clint Birthday!"  We then gave him his birthday bike and he was addicted to the birthday celebrations!!!  He ran around like Karl Malone talking in the first person..."it's Clint's birthday."

Scrapbooking my life

Our boys are addicted to Baseball.  Clint is no exception.
We have had fun playing in the backyard with Clint's Swimming Pool.
Ahhh, I love my three sets of flowers!  What can I say, I have not felt well this month.

Fourth of July was fun this year hangin' in our backyard watching our small fireworks and with a perfect view of the county's fireworks!

My Family Scrapbooking

I can't think of anything better than Brotherly Love!!!  Ryan and Clint love playing together.
What do you think, does Clint have a little Flinders in him or what?
Clint is already a sharp shooter with perfect form (I might add).
You know I can't resist my dad's funny/terrible pictures...now Clint is taking after him.  I had to Photoshop the pictures with both of their eyes open!

I love my two Tommy Boys!!!!
As hard as I try....my Flinders boys and my Flinders husband insist on turning Clint into a "Hick Redneck" !!!!  They think it is awesome for Clint to ride the goats!!!

I have started to digitally redo my old scrapbook pages. It has been so fun to look through my old pictures.
I love this picture of my dad when he enlisted in the Air Force Reserves.  He had to leave when mom was pregnant with Rich.
I have been blessed with the greatest grandparents.  I love the picture of my Grandpa and Grandma Peterson on their 50th anniversary, but especially the picture of them sitting together on the chair.

My grandma died a couple days after my eighth birthday.  In the hospital, grandma told my dad to tell me sorry that she ruined my birthday party. I've never forgotten the love she has for me, to think of me at that time in her passing of life.  They were both amazing people.

We would go visit Grandpa Dick pretty much every evening, he was always sitting in his same chair in the kitchen.  He loved to give us ice cream and money for candy.  The best story I have of Grandpa...Tony was riding his bike and he was riding fast enough that he caught up to Grandpa driving.  Grandpa looked over and saw Tony, laughed and then sped up.  He was a hard worker who farmed his whole life.

I love these pictures of my dad, his parents, and  his Grandparents.  I did not know any of my
Great Grandparents (on my dad's side), but have heard great stories of Great Grandpa Lee.  My dad loved playing like he was "Roy Rogers" with Grandpa Lee.  Grandpa would call out, "here comes Roy Rogers with his black jack ass" and Dad would come out a buckin' and a hollerin'.  I also love the picture to show how tall Grandpa Lee must have been because my Grandpa Dick was over 6 feet tall.

These pictures have always been special to me because my Grandpa died in a tractor accident up in our mountains when I was only 11 months old.  My Grandma and Grandpa Rose were high school sweethearts.  Grandma and Grandpa married right out of high school and he left for the war shortly after they married. He fought in the war and was a HERO.

My Grandpa was famous for having a piece of each kind of pie.  It has always made me wonder why he would survive the war, a inner ear tumor, to die in a horrible accident on 7-7-77 at such a young age.  The mysteries of life, I guess.  I know many people respected my grandpa and the whole town mourned when he died.
I loved having sleep overs with my Grandma Rose.  We would sing together and go on walks and play Family Feud.   She put herself through college and graduated from Weber State.  The night of her graduation we drove home and the "M" was lit, she told me it was for Marjorie!!! She later married Grandpa Lee and they moved to Denver.  They would let me go stay with them and we would swim and go to dinner theaters.  She has always supported me and encouraged me to be happy and make the right choices in life.

Family Happenings

Ryan has been having so much fun with scouts! He especially loved making his Pine Wood Derby car with Flinders.
Ry was so excited all of the boys voted and his car won "Most Awesome".  He thought that was better than even being the fastest car.
 Buckin', Kickin', and Ropin'.
Our Little Cowboy!

Ryan's Second Grade Class with Mrs. Roundy.
She is Ryan's favorite teacher. She is so patient and has helped him do very well this year.

Fancy is preggers with "Baby Puppies" as Clint calls them.

A couple months to catch up on

My mom e-mailed us and said she finally found someone to wear her knitted hats...too bad he wanted to wear them all at once! Love this little fart and his big ole' cheeser!

This was the first year Ryan and Brayden could play basketball. I was a proud mom when Ryan fouled a couple times...go little Barkley! The middle picture is the best, he was in the middle of the game. He saw me taking the picture so he stopped and posed for me. (I apparently take a few pictures).

They played really well and only lost one game. Good job, guys!

Can you say "Ouch"? I told the lady I want my eyeliner thick, like hooker thick...oops! I was bruised and swollen for over a week (Yo, Adrian!) My mom saw me the next morning and had zero sympathy, she just said "do you think it will fade"? I said who gives a shit about it fading, do you think the swelling and bruising will go down?

Notice my eyes being dilated at different sizes.

Jason got his wisdom teeth out. The surgery was really something. Jason and I could hear the cracking and smell the saw...it was actually quite barbaric. He was a trooper though and went back to school the next day. Silly kid, I would have taken a couple days off.

This is what Jason looks like a little high!

Junior Prom

Jason took his girlfriend Mariah Remund. They went to a movie during the day and the dance and dinner was at Eccles in Ogden.

Our Third Anniversary

Flinders and I flew to Cancun to celebrate Our Third Anniversary. We feel so lucky to have a getaway to the warm weather and have a relaxing time away from all the stress in life.

We woke up on Monday at 2:00 AM, let me repeat at TWO in the Morning, as in TWO HOURS AFTER MIDNIGHT. We arrived at our Check-in desk at 4:00 (the three hours they recommend before an international flight) only to find out that they don't open until 5:30.

We intentionally packed our One big bag, jammed pack so we wouldn't have to have a carry on to worry about, I didn't even bring a purse...it was brilliant. Until, at Check-in they charge us to check our big bag and it is 15 pounds over weight. We had to take out our 2 winter coats our jackets, I threw away a pair of shoes, etc. We ended up carrying all sorts of nonsense all around.

Tomas Martinez drove us to the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort in a gated community. It was the Rittziest Lobby I have ever seen. The Bellboy took us to our Suite. We had a perfect oceanview right out of our own personal veranda.
The resort had a ferry and a train that would take you throughout the resort. The Grand Palladium was enormous. It was so big that we couldn't find the other Lobby with the 9:00 Theater. We decided to get on the train and it would take us right to it. We board, tell the man that we wanted the Colonial Theater. We ride for quite a while and finally he stops at the Lobby. We get out and we are at our White Sand Lobby, it was hilarious.

The next day, we found the Colonial lobby (we walked). We decided to take the train back to our White Sand Lobby. We got on the train, it went and stopped at one stop, then the next stop was our Lobby. We got off and realized he let us back off at the damn Colonial Lobby! We gave up on the train at that point!

Flinders thinks the Lobby looks like something out of a Harry Potter movie, he told me at least a thousand times :)

The beach was amazing. Beautiful and clean. Drinks, guacamole, sandwiches, anything you wanted constantly.

We were allowed the experience of seeing One Topless Lady (lady, used very loosely), Eight Speedos (Two were son and father, quite an experience), One Mexican Midget (my trip was perfect at that point), Four Iguanas, Five Raccoons, Three Huge Varmints (we have no idea what they were).

Flinders, of course got sunburned. I told him after that he really should have put on sunscreen like I did...ha ha, I'm smarter!

Enjoying the night and all of the lights. The pictures do not even come close to how beautiful the resort is.

We decided we may not be the best world travelers, but dang we just kept laughing and had so much fun.

I love My Flinders, I love that he doesn't let me get too serious. I have loved my life with him more than I could ever dream.
